Undergraduate Research

2023

​

  • Joined the Geoscience Education Research Lab at IU Indianapolis as an undergraduate researcher.         

           

  • Began working on an inclusion-focused project that examined equitable practices, and student identity within geoscience.

​

  • Independently developed a phenomenological study focused on academic sustainability among women in geoscience.

​

  • Wrote and submitted a successful proposal that secured $10,000 in IU UROP research funding.

2024

  • ​Conducted 400+ hours of phenomenological interviews with participants across the United States.

​

  • Grounded theory analysis, developing an early framework hypothesis that helped shape the lab’s broader research direction.

​

  • Presented palimerty work at GSA Connects 2024

​

  • Women in Geology (CACC Geology) Scholarship  recognizing reasurch and community work

2025

  • Furthered analysis and developed a framework specific to service and outreach in geosciences, examining the effects of science efficacy

​

  • Expanded my interdisciplinary research background by enrolling in psychology coursework to strengthen my learning-sciences perspective

​

  • Recipient of the National Iris Moreno Totten Geoscience Education Research Award

​

  • Co-designed a national survey instrument to test the emerging framework, including survey logic, flow, layout, pilot testing, and refinement for large-scale implementation
